In Part 1 (Why Sansi Grow Lights Stand Out), we broke down what makes Sansi different from the flood of cheap Amazon and Temu grow lights. Their patented COC ceramic technology, full-spectrum daylight output, and precision optics set them apart from the flood of cheap grow light competition.
Now it’s time to look at the bulbs themselves. Sansi offers sixteen grow bulbs, fourteen models for the US and Canadian markets. I'm including seven of them in this first draft of this article, because they are the ones I've used and am most experienced with. Each one has its own strengths, from compact desk-sized PAR20s to powerhouse BR30s with smart controls.
This Unlikely Gardener guide walks through every bulb in this reduced lineup, highlighting specs, use cases, and best picks so you can choose the right model for your indoor plant needs.

BR30 40W LED Grow Bulb with Remote:
At a Glance: Maximum Power and Control
- Power: 40W
- PPFD: 345 µmol/m²/s @12”
- Efficiency: 1.425 PPF/W
- Remote control with timers + dimming (US only)
The BR30 40W is the crown jewel of the Sansi lineup. With enough intensity to satisfy fruiting plants like citrus, tomatoes, or peppers. This needs a bit of a disclaimer. While it will grow high light plants like tomatoes and peppers, I'd suggest that you pick dwarf varieties. This bulb brings serious growing power in a bulb based format. The included remote lets you set timers and dimming levels without touching the fixture, a lifesaver for hard-to-reach spots.

Best for: Large plants, fruiting crops (dwarf varieties), serious indoor gardeners who want full control.
Pro Tip: If your goal is maximum flexibility in a bulnb-based grow light, one bulb to grow anything from basil to dwarf citrus, this is a great pick.
BR30 36W LED Grow Bulb:
At a Glance: The Efficiency King
- Power: 36W
- PPFD: 268 µmol/m²/s @12”
- Efficiency: 1.82 PPF/W (highest of the lineup)
The BR30 36W is all about efficiency. It delivers the most photons per watt of any current Sansi bulb (September 2025), making it incredibly cost-effective for long-term use. Despite slightly lower PPFD than the 40W, it actually outputs the most total photons (65.6 µmol/s).

Best for: Miniature greenhouse use, multiple-plant setups, energy-conscious growers.
PAR25 32W LED Grow Bulb:
At a Glance: The Intensity Champion
- Power: 32W
- PPFD: 423 µmol/m²/s @12” (highest in the lineup)
- Efficiency: 1.56 PPF/W
The PAR25 32W is built for intensity. At over 400 µmol/m²/s, it’s the go-to choice for high-light plants. Its focused PAR25 design makes it ideal for single, larger plants or tight growing areas.

Best for: Demanding plants, tight configurations, dwarf fruiting varieties.
BR30 30W LED Grow Bulb with Remote:
At a Glance: Smart Mid-Range
- Power: 30W
- PPFD: 260 µmol/m²/s @12”
- Efficiency: 1.4 PPF/W
- Remote control (US only)
This bulb balances convenience with solid performance. The remote allows timer and dimming control, while the output is more than enough for herbs, vegetables, and most houseplants.

Best for: Medium-sized setups, growers who want smart features with a little lower intensity.
BR30 24W LED Grow Bulb:
At a Glance: The Versatile Favourite & Waterproof
- Power: 24W
- PPFD: 126 µmol/m²/s @12”
- Beam Angle: 120°
- IP54 Waterproof
- Either 4,000k Daylight or 3,000k+5,000k+660nm+730nm
The BR30 24W is the all-around full spectrum choice. It’s strong enough for herbs, leafy greens, and decorative houseplants, but not so intense that it risks light stress. For many plant parents, this bulb will cover 80% of needs. The intensity at 12" is good, dropping it down to 8"-10" may be slightly better, alternatively increase your photoperiod to 16 hours instead of the typical 12 hours many of us use. Plus its currently the only Sansi waterproof (IP54) grow bulb.

Best for: Everyday houseplants, seed starting, beginner-friendly setups.
PAR25 15W LED Grow Bulb:
At a Glance: Compact and Efficient
- Power: 15W
- PPFD: 153 µmol/m²/s @12”
- Efficiency: 1.8 PPF/W
Small but mighty, the PAR25 15W is ideal for medium-light plants like Calathea, Anthurium, or small herb gardens. With high efficiency, it delivers strong performance without driving up energy costs.

Best for: Desk plants, moderate-light houseplants, budget-conscious growers.
PAR20 10W LED Grow Bulb:
At a Glance: Small but Reliable
- Power: 10W
- PPFD: 98 µmol/m²/s @12”
- Efficiency: 1.68 PPF/W
The smallest bulb in the lineup, the PAR20 10W is perfect for low-light plants or supplemental lighting. It’s compact, affordable, and still benefits from Sansi’s COC technology and full spectrum output.

Best for: Snake plants, ZZ plants, or any low-light tolerant plants stuffed into a corner in your home.
