Return & Refund Policy

At The Unlikely Gardener, almost every item is made-to-order through our print-on-demand production partners. Each piece is custom printed just for you, which means it’s produced only after your order is placed. Because of this process, we’re unable to restock or resell returned items.

No Returns or Exchanges for Custom-Printed Orders

Each product is printed individually to your order specifications. As a result, we’re unable to accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once printing has begun, except in cases of manufacturing error or product damage.

This policy applies when:

  • You ordered the wrong size, colour, or style.

  • You entered an incorrect shipping address.

  • The product doesn’t look exactly as you expected (for example, minor colour differences between your screen and the final print).

  • You simply change your mind after purchase.

We encourage all customers to review sizing charts, product previews, and descriptions carefully before confirming an order.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged, misprinted, or with a manufacturing error, we’ll make it right. You can request either a free replacement or a refund within 30 days of delivery.

To report an issue:

  1. Email [email protected] with your order number.

  2. Include clear photos showing the problem.

  3. If multiple products are affected, include a single photo (or short video) showing all items together.

There’s no need to return the damaged item, we’ll handle it directly with our production partner to resolve your issue quickly.

Refunds

Once approved, refunds are processed to your original payment method.

If your order was billed in a currency other than USD, the refund will appear directly in that currency through your payment provider.

Please note that refunds cannot be issued for:

  • Incorrect sizing or colour choices.

  • Typos or address errors provided at checkout.

  • Minor print placement shifts (within 0.5” / 1.3 cm, considered normal production tolerance).

Undeliverable or Returned Orders

There are no refunds due to an incorrect address, unclaimed parcel, stolen parcel or failed delivery attempt. These issues are completely beyond our control.

Printing & Colour Variations

All products are printed using professional, high-quality equipment. However, small differences in colour, tone, print placement, or fabric texture are normal and not considered defects. Screen calibration, lighting, and fabric type can all affect how colours appear.
